Monthly Meet Ups

AWFP organises monthly meet ups in various countries all over Africa. These meet ups are meant to bring together women in the industry for a few hours for one evening.

Quarterly Meet Ups

AWFP quarterly meet ups are meant to bring together women from one region for half a day meet up to share, learn and network. The regions are divided as follows: East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, North Africa, South Africa

Mentoring Meet Ups

Mentoring Meet ups bring together mentors and/or mentors together for half a day. These meet ups provide a platform for mentees and mentors to share about lessons learned and value added. These events run quarterly.

AWFP 1ST ANNUAL EVENT

AWFP will be hosting the 1st Annual Conference in Nairobi, Kenya on 22 & 23 October 2018.This is the 1st ever Pan- African Conference specifically focused on Women working in FinTech (Payments). The conference will bring together women from all over Africa for a full day event. The conference will feature interactive panels, deep-dive workshops, and plenary sessions with industry female leaders.The conference will bring together women from all over Africa for a full day event. The conference will feature interactive panels, deep-dive workshops, and plenary sessions with industry female leaders.

AWFP is positive that, by creating a positive arena in where women can come together to discuss issues relating to Women in Baking, FinTech & Payments Leadership, female founders, bridging the gender gap, pushing more diversity and inspiring future generations of girls into the sector.

Remarkable Women in Leadership

Through the Leadership programme, AWFP  hopes to help women in the industry develop leadership skills. This is done in collaboration with licensed trainers and institutions based on the specific needs of the group of women. The intake for leadership programme takes place bi-annually.
